The Unfortunate Owl

A sad sight on the road near our house this morning en-route to school. A beautiful owl dead on the road. Not sure of the species but looks like a long-eared owl which are quite rare in the west......And now even rarer.

The Cong 8k

Henry and I ran the Cong 8k race on Sunday morning. It was very nice.

Puppy gets a name

We finally settled on Dubhín (pronounced dove-een for any non irish speakers). Dubh is the irish word for black so Dubhín means 'little black one'. It suits her and she seems to like it.

Lots of starlings are nesting in our house. 

That makes us happy.

Two new creatures arrived today. A pony and a puppy. Busy day. Juno and Sam are amused. Sweetie is not bothered.

Autism day

The world was lit up blue for Autism Awareness Day on April 2nd,
I had a photo assignment at the University in Galway to publicise this event.

Sweetie returns

After a number of months away, Sweetie returns to her real home and here she will stay.

Day trip to Achill Island on new Years day ended up at Achillhenge. WOW! Thisplace needs to be declared a monument. Love it.
