The Unfortunate Owl

A sad sight on the road near our house this morning en-route to school. A beautiful owl dead on the road. Not sure of the species but looks like a long-eared owl which are quite rare in the west......And now even rarer.

Henry asks a question.

This boy was born to find out stuff about the world.

Izzy cracks a smile.

The scary thing is that this girl in doing a triathlon on Saturday. Go Izzy!

Finn is about to start the Junior Cert

He's way too cool for a boy a few weeks out from the exams.

Hannah will be 18 in September

Who knew these little kids would be adults before we were ready for them!

The crows nest

So it's not quite a tree house but the the view is good and it's high enough to do damage if you fall out.
What more does a boy need?

Puppy gets a name

We finally settled on Dubhín (pronounced dove-een for any non irish speakers). Dubh is the irish word for black so Dubhín means 'little black one'. It suits her and she seems to like it.
